Education
Our focus is on educating communities and children on the importance of proper handwashing, hygiene, and disease prevention. GCF is also providing school supplies, and supplementary materials for distance learning in remote areas where use of technology is not possible.
Health
Our efforts are concentrated on repairing water wells to provide greater access to clean water and encouraging villages and communities to set up hand-washing stations. GCF is also providing masks and health insurance to children and families in impoverished areas, giving them access to protection, treatment, and testing.
Nutrition
For those living in poverty quarantine can mean starvation. Studies indicate this is especially true for women and children. GCF is working to fill the food insecurity gaps by identifying those in extreme need and providing ongoing resources of food and other essentials during this pandemic.
Emergency Food Packs
COVID-19 has caused worldwide economic hardship and instability, resulting in lost wages and income for countless caregivers. Help provide an entire household with a two-week food package of essentials like rice, oil, flour, meat, and fish.
